Soccer Picks for EPL Game Week 19

Last week saw a strange phenomenon. Easy matches turned out to be stiff challenges. Whether it was Manchester City, Manchester United or Arsenal, each of these teams had to sweat to earn points from their lowly rated adversaries. While Arsenal and Manchester City managed narrow wins, Red Devils had to be contended with a single point. At last the quality of all teams in the EPL came to the fore last week.

Out of the top lying teams Chelsea made quite an impact when they thrashed Aston Villa by eight goals. Though Fernando Torres scored a goal but it was a collective whole that won Chelsea this match. The superb performance again threw Chelsea’s name into title contention. Liverpool too had a convincing win over Fulham. They won by four goals, thanks largely to the superb form of Stewart Downing. Downing return to scoring ways in this game.

It was not an easy time for the Manchester teams though. Manchester City probed throughout the match against Reading but the stubborn defence of this low lying EPL team was not easy to break. Though the attacks were all one sided but Federici and other defenders were able to ward off the Citizens charge again and again. It took an injury time goal by Gareth Barry to earn Manchester City all the points. Soccer betting experts are still hopeful of a second title winning season for Manchester City. And all these experts would have been heartened by Manchester United’s point drop at Swansea. Though Manchester United took an early lead through a corner via Patrice Evra, but Michu proved yet again why he has been so successful this season. He came up with an equalizer. After the break there was a flurry of Manchester United attack but it was seen off by Vorm and Williams. This will also reduce the gap between the Manchester clubs to four points.

It seems to be a dwindling season for AVB’s men at Tottenham. This week they ended a goalless draw against Stoke City. They are not amongst the soccer picks for EPL 2012-13. While Newcastle are again back to winning ways.

Arsene Wenger would be laughing at the end of Week 18; his team are now in the fourth position which was not anticipated even a few days back. Though they are not among soccer picks for EPL title, but it seems they will make it Champions League again.

Soccer Betting Tips for Game Week 18

Another thrilling week of English football is in store for us. Though, Manchester City and Manchester United have come up as the clear contenders for the EPL crown, with Chelsea fading away in the recent weeks. It is intense in the middle of the table. Queens Park Rangers is not the best choice in terms of soccer betting. Even Harry Rednapp has not been able to turn the fortunes of this club. They lie right at the bottom. Though Reading has been scoring significantly but they too have found winning games a difficult art to grasp. Wigan, a team that promised so much last season and even early on this campaign, has fallen in value in terms of various soccer betting systems.

Two clubs with high expectations, Liverpool and Newcastle are also falling away from the top 4 finish with every passing game. If Liverpool still holds some takers in soccer betting systems it is due to their duo of Luis Suarez and Jose Enrique. Their skills have been appreciated by many.  On the other hand Newcastle fans would be wishing their Senegalese strike force of Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse to hit the prime of form for the rest of season. There is a lot of talent in this team, but sadly that is not coming to the fore.

It has been a season of uncertain fortunes for the Gunners. One week they have showed their usual flair and won the hearts but very next week they have been sub-standard. Soccer betting experts are even confused about this club. With a capable manager in Arsene Wenger, who has led his admirably for so many years, a top 4 finish is still possible for Arsenal.

If we talk about the top 2 teams, though ManU has a lead of 8 points over the Citizens, but in EPL this is not a comprehensive margin. A few bad results and they could be on even terms. Many soccer betting experts are tipping for a tight finish this season too. That would be thrilling no doubt.

Betting systems are still holding Manchester United as the top title contenders due to their consistency and the roaring form of star striker robin Van Persie.

BPL Soccer picks for Game Week 16

In the last few weeks there have been many talking points as far as English Premier League is concerned. The sacking of Roberto Di Mateo, the Chelsea manager and appointment of Rafael Benitez has been on the mouths of every Chelsea fan. RDM and his led Chelsea were one of the top soccer picks at the start of BPL 2012-13 especially after winning the Champions League. Though they started the season strong, but they have disappointed in Europe as well as in the league. It was too hard for Roman Abramovich to digest. Rafael is not the choice for Chelsea fans and his team’s loss to West Ham has ignited the fire even further.

Swansea on the other hand is a dark horse in this year’s BPL as far as tips for soccer from pundits are concerned. The Spaniard Miguel Michu has made an instant impression after coming to BPL. Michael Laudrup has Swansea many steps forward after the departure of Brendan Rodgers. Swansea can upset anyone on their best days as was revealed at Emirates Stadium last week.  They are sitting pretty at the seventh position. On the other hand Arsenal has their set of problems. The forwards are still not firing and they still seem to be missing Robin Van Persie’s services. Mr. Wenger will have to spend big in January transfer window.

At the top Manchester clubs are going strong. Manchester United is sitting at the top position despite their defensive frailties. Though they are conceding many goals (which will be a concern of Sir Alex) but they have the fire-power in the form of Rooney and Van Persie to score more. Manchester City on the other hand seems to be lacking a cutting edge in the midfield. Yaya Toure is still not firing all cylinders, though Tavez is finding some lost touch.

At the bottom Queen’s Park Rangers are nearing their exit from the BPL with every passing game. Will Harry Redknap be able to prevent their slide? That’s one of the questions. They are not a part of any persons soccer picks. Though a lot of money has been spent behind this team, but quality is still missing in the squad.
