Soccer Betting experts in a Quandary over EPL Winners This Season

Last two seasons have been quite unpredictable and nightmarish for the soccer betting experts. Last year this time Manchester United were in the ascendancy and whichever soccer tips blog you read claimed that the Red Devils will clinch the Premier League crown and leave their city neighbours with their years of trophy draught. But over the next few months Manchester City displayed prime form, defeating everything that came in their way. Manchester United too lost many points. Then it came to the last day and perhaps the last kick to decide the EPL crown. Manchester City had the glories and Manchester United was left licking their wounds.

Prior to the 2012-13 season, Manchester United looked very busy in the transfer market. They let go Berbatov and brought one of the world’s most fearsome strikers in the form of Robin Van Persie. Though many claimed young custodian David De Gea was not ready for a first team slot, but Sir Alex knew better. He has since stuck with De Gea as his number one choice. Manchester United has got their money worth with Van Persie. He is the leading goal scorer in the EPL 2012-13 and his form never seems to fail. He has been the difference between Manchester United and other teams.

The light blue neighbours, Manchester City, are again in hot pursuit of the EPL crown. Though they are 5 points adrift of the leaders, but they will take heart from the experience of last season. As ever Roberto Mancini is voting Manchester United as the favourite for this year’s EPL along with many other soccerbetting experts. But Manchester City will race on till the end. Yaya Toure’s absence due to African Nations Cup has made Man City look average. They will be wishing other talismans can keep up the good work. In fact Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero are looking in great form.

Chelsea is still hopeful, though none of soccer betting experts are giving them any outside chance. They trail the leaders by 11 points, but Raphael Benitez is still hopeful of salvaging something. One of the teams that has caught the eye of every soccer betting expert is the Welsh side Swansea. If they were a good team under Brendan Rogers, they have become a highly competitive side under Brian Laudrup.

Given the situation it is not a safe idea to be giving any soccer tips this season.

Tips for Soccer: How Teams fared in EPL Gameweek 23

Apart from the big match-ups on Sunday, one of the points of interest was the EPL debut of much appreciated striker Loic Remy for Queens Park Rangers. He made a great debut, being a constant threat to West Ham defence. He scored a goal too for his hard work. But QPR could only salvage a draw. With all the money spent, QPR are still lying right at the bottom of the EPL table with 15 points. It seems only a miracle can save this team from falling out of the Premier League. They are not in any persons soccer picks to stay afloat.

Though Reading is still in the drop zone but their performances in the recent past have been good. They had a great victory this weekend over Newcastle United. Le Fondre with his double strike made sure Reading had a memorable win. Newcastle on the other hand looks to be a side full of problems. Suddenly form has left them and the loss of Demba Ba is looking burdening for them. At the start of the season Alan Purdew’s men looked to be making a bid for European spots, but their aspirations have been blown away. They lay two points clear of the drop zone at the moment.

Now, let us concentrate on two talked about games this weekend. First was, Chelsea taking on Arsenal. Chelsea looked to be only one team on the ground. They dominated the first half and became one of the outside soccer picks to clinch this year’s EPL. But second half had a different story to tell. Arsenal came back strongly and dominated the game. Gunners even reduced two goal deficit of first half to one. But they were on the losing side after the end of the game. Second match was played out between Manchester United and Tottenham. Cold weather meant no team was really able to display all their skills. But Robin Van Persie yet again and proved why every tips for soccer columns stated his acquisition as priceless for Manchester United. Tottenham rallied around, but their equalizer came only a few minutes from the final whistle. So, the spoils were shared. This meant the gap between two Manchester clubs was reduced to 5. Manchester City is still hot among the soccer picks.

Soccer Tips for EPL Game week 23

European football has been full of excitement every day. And guess what; a lot of this excitement has been caused by January transfer window. Every club is looking to add quality players to their squad. Another astonishing fact has been eagerness of quality players to join Queens Park Rangers. QPR has been linked with many high profile players, and many soccer betting experts held them in good stead after acquiring Julio Caesar at the start of 2012-13 season. Harry Redknapp’s club has not disappointed the experts for sure. They have recently signed a contract with Marseille start striker Loic Remy. They are in talks with many other astonishing moves. Hope these signings will give them new energy in their bid to stay up in the EPL.

If you want a soccer tip, it has to be said that Swansea are a dark horse to reach European spots this season. Brian Laudrup’s men are playing with great team spirit this season and Michu’s form seems to be everlasting. The club has signed Oasuna man Rolan Lamah. This week the Welsh side are supposed to have an easy time against Stoke City. Liverpool looked good last week against Manchester United. Their new recruit Daniel Sturridge looked in good form and he set into the club quite nicely. Soccer betting experts would expect Liverpool to have an easy time against the Canaries. Norwich City was held to a goalless draw last weekend against Newcastle. Grant Holt has suddenly stopped scoring and this would be a problem bugging the club.

Manchester clubs have tricky games this week. Manchester United would be playing away against a talented but under-performing Tottenham side. While Manchester City would host Fulham (whose star striker Berbartov has found lost touch.

Talked about game of the week is Chelsea playing host to Arsenal. Chelsea have a slight edge according to most soccer betting experts. But Arsenal can upset any good team when they are firing all cylinders. Newcastle are closing in on the relegation spots, they can create some breathing space with a comprehensive win over low lying Reading. Soccer tips for the Everton and Southampton game would be: it all relies upon Mouranne Feliani’s form.

Soccer Betting: What to Expect from the January Transfer Window?

It’s time for EPL transfer gossips again. Many clubs will have their hearts broken while others will make merry. It is time when money does all the talking. Queens Park Rangers and their revered coach Harry Redknapp will be looking for a resurrection through new acquisition in this transfer market. The team has been suffering from a persistent series of poor results. Harry has repeatedly stressed on the need to bring in some quality players. Though QPR have many glorified names but none of them are firing at the moment. They have been heavily linked with Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones. Though Jones has not achieved anything remarkable in EPL yet, but he is a persistent threat to opposition defences. QPR is also looking to bring in Danny Simpson (from Newcastle), Tom Huddlestone (from Tottenham) and Sylvain Distin. So far they have been able to seal a permanent deal on Tal Ben Haim and a loan deal for Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore. It can be hoped that new signings will place QPR in better stead as far as soccer betting systems are concerned.

Biggest signing in the EPL so far has been Demba Ba. This Senegalese striker has shown great goal scoring instinct for Newcastle. So Chelsea did not waste any time to sign this star. Chelsea is also letting go of their striker Daniel Sturridge, who has been sent on loan to Liverpool. Some of the transfer targets for Chelsea are Isco (from Malaga), Luka Modric (from Real Madrid), Benat Etxebarria (from Real Betis) and Marquinhos (from Roma). Chelsea seem to be moving in the right direction as far as becoming a popular name in soccer betting circles.

Both Manchester City and United have been linked with many players but all talks are in early phase. Manchester United are searching for a experienced goalkeeper and they have approached Liverpool shot stopper Pepe Reina. Other targets for Sir Alex include Wilfred Zaha (from Crystal Palace), Sven Bender (from Brussia Dortmund), Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole (from Chelsea). Red Devils have also shed off many of their A team players to gather some funds. They will continue to be a choice for title winners in soccer betting systems are concerned.
